Make a payment
You can make payments using our secure Online Card Services website which is free to register for and available 24 hours a day, simply register and log in to make a payment to your credit card account. Make a payment before 5pm Mon-Fri and it'll reach your account in 2 working days. Pay after 5pm or on weekends and bank holidays and it'll reach your account in 3 working days.
Note - we don't set a restriction on the amount you can pay into your account. However, your card issuer may set a transaction limit.
Pay by Direct Debit:
To set up a Direct Debit on your Credit Card account access our secured Online Card Services service, select the Manage Account tab and follow the online instructions. You can also contact us on 0800 783 7556 to set up your Direct Debit by phone. Your Direct Debit payment will be taken regardless of any additional payments you make. Your Direct Debit payment will be credited on your payment due date and will be collected from your appointed bank on or the next working day after your due date.
Pay by your bank’s Telephone / Internet / Standing Order Banking Service (incorporating Faster Payments)
Please contact your bank to take advantage of this service. You will need:
- Your credit card number

Please allow up to four working days for Telephone/Internet Banking Payments. Faster Payments received Monday to Friday before 4pm will be credited to your account the same working day; after 4pm, or on a weekend/bank holiday, they will be credited to your account the next working day. Payments can be seen on your account the day after being credited.

Post your cheque together with the completed bank giro slip (from the bottom of your statement) to:
Please make your cheque payable to MBNA EBL and remember to write your card number on the front of all cheques and your name and address on the reverse of each cheque. Be sure to allow up to five working days before your payment due date shown on your statement. This may take longer if you use second class post.
Pay at a bank:
Use the Bank Giro Credit slip at the bottom of your statement. A bank other than the Co-operative Bank may charge a fee. Non-MBNA bank giro credit slips will not be accepted. Payment by either cheque and/or cash will take the same time to reach your account. Please allow four working days before the payment due date shown on your statement.
